Description
This extract has a known 95% Curcumin, the main active constituent of Turmeric, Curcuma longa.
These herbal extracts are ideal for adding to herbal teas, or other beverages, and can also be added to foods. The Turmeric Extract extract is safe to consume, a typical dose would be 500-800 mg 2-3 times per day.
The exact origin of turmeric is unknown, but its most likely from Western India where records show it has been used for at least 2500 years. The yellow-orange pigments obtained from the root are sacred and auspicious. Turmeric has been used medically for thousands of years as an important Ayurvedic herb used to treat inflammation, coughs and gastric disorders. Modern research suggests it may hold incredible benefits in combatting inflammatory states, liver disease, skin conditions and even cancer.
