Description

Note: 20:1 means it takes 20kg of Myrrh resin to produce 1kg of extract.

These herbal extracts are ideal for adding to herbal teas, or other beverages, and can also be added to foods. When calculating the required amount, consider how much of the normal herb you would use, and divide that by at least 10 as these extracts are concentrated. The Myrrh extract is safe to consume. There are no publicised dosage recommendations but it would not be recommended to exceed 2000 mg per day.

Myrrh resin is a natural gum. It has been used historically as a perfume, incense and medicine. Myrrh is used externally in liniments for bruises, aches, and sprains or healing salves that can be applied to abrasions and other minor skin ailments. Myrrh is used as an antiseptic in mouthwashes, gargles, and toothpastes. It has also been shown to be effective in fighting certain types of parasitic infections. It has also been used to improve digestion and boost the immune system. Various traditions have used it to treat coughs, gum disease, wounds, candida and the treatment of skin diseases. This deep reddish-brown resin is especially important for oral health.
Dissolve the Myrrh extract in water for use as a dental rinse. Also encourages circulation, simulates the immune system, and encourages a woman’s natural cycle.
