Description

Not an overly tall tree, but a slow growing evergreen shrub tree of about 10 metres tall, grown in the wild, with narrow bluish-green needles. Flowers and round green berries in their first year, turning black in the second and third years. Which require 3 growing seasons to fully mature.

It is a native to northern Europe, it is now commonly found in the dry areas of Europe, America and Asia. The berries come from the dried fruit of the female cone which is collected for distillation.
