Description
Gum Dammar is an all natural product derived from the sap of the Dipterocarpaceae family of trees.
Gum Dammar is used as an ingredient in the popular Beeswax Food Wraps, mixed with beeswax and jojoba oil. Dammar is also used in foods, as a clouding or glazing agent, and in incense, varnish, paint making, encaustic paints and other products.
Dammar Gum is used as a raw material in the production of high end dyes and paints. In India, Dammar gum is used as incense in religious rites and has applications in the traditional Indian medicine. Its water repulsing and binding properties enables Dammar gum to be used as a coating agent.
Dammar resin, also known as cat-eye resin, lifts the spirit and brings light to the darkness of the soul. Dammar resin is particularly useful to combat sadness, depression and melancholy.
Our latest batch of Gum Dammar is a beautiful raw gum harvested from the Dipterocarpaceae family of trees. Being a raw product it may have some natural impurities like small pieces of bark. There is nothing in it that can be harmful to you, but if you are going to use it in foods or wraps, we recommend rinsing it with some water first.
